ArtsUnited will feature the mixed media art work of local artist Angelo Lombardo in a solo exhibit at the Stonewall Library and Archives from May 5 through 30, 2008. The gallery is located at 1717 N. Andrews Avenue in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The exhibit opens with a reception to meet the artist on Monday, May 5th from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Refreshments will be served. Admission to the exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Angelo Lombardo studied at the School of Industrial Art, spent three years in the U.S. Navy during World War II, then graduated from Parsons School of Design. He went on to enjoy a long career in advertising design. He specializes in sketching, painting in acrylics and watercolor, and photography. Angelo is a member of the 9Muses Art Center in Lauderhill, a program of the Mental Health Association of Broward County.
